First opened in 1858 in Settle in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, we are photographers steeped in the experience gained from many generations, unique in being able still to print from the photographical glass plates of our entrepreneurial predecessors, whilst at the same time offering our customers the benefit of today's cutting edge digital photography technology.

We offer specialist wedding photography and other external photographic work coupled with portraiture in our in-house studio.

Our photographic studio is complemented by our shop, stocking a wide range of cameras, film, albums, frames and other accessories. As a family business, our friendly service with the advantage of thorough expertise in the trade ensures that whatever your photographic needs we should be able to help.

From the four day developing turnaround that our founders originally offered, today we are able to provide our customers with their photographs, negatives or digital images within the space of an hour - just time to enjoy a browse around the town.
